Space Wrap - Echo Hills

Space Wrap - Echo Hills, Echo Hills Elementary School, Stow, OH - 2006
Space Wrap Echo Hills? is a collaborative sculpture created October 5, 2006, by myself and more than a hundred first through fourth graders. On a formal level, the piece is a visual discussion of line, light, color, space, and form. On a conceptual level, Space Wrap Echo Hills? investigates how individuals interact to create something more complex and beautiful than what is possible alone. The decisions that each artist made in placing his or her yarn had an impact on the final piece of art. This serves as an analogy of how individual actions impact groups whether it be friends, families, communities or societies.
