Hooked@LIM 2019

Macrame Cord
Hooked at Long Island Museum 2019 is a community-based public art project that is a collaboration between artist Carol Hummel, LIM and some 200 community volunteers. Volunteers made the crocheted pieces of various sizes and colors and Carol installed the pieces with the help of her assistant Molly Sedensky. This project, like much of the art of Hummel, draws diverse sectors of communities together in a positive, celebratory way to help create major pieces of art for the people, by the people. Completed in summer 2019, the artwork complements the other crocheted trees installed at Long Island Museum in 2015.
